INTERVIEW: Rosie Fortescue, Made in Chelsea Star

May 25, 2017

Rosie Fortescue is the kind of friend every one needs in their life.
Her straight talking no BS attitude on Made In Chelsea is what has made the nation fall in love with Rosie. She’s a self proclaimed girl’s girl with a wicked sense of humour, and a fantastic collection of jewellery to match.
And when she’s not filming the show, Rosie is paving her way in the fashion world with her own clothing line while sharing swoon-worthy content on her blog for the ultimate snazzy fit ‘spo. Of course, with such an intense work schedule, looking after your mind and body is a given.
Read ahead as I talk to Rosie about her favourite ways to keep healthy in and around London town…

Hi Rosie! If Instagram is anything to go by, your dedication to the gym is nothing short of remarkable. Got any motivational tips for those of us who, er, may need a little push to go?

Thank you! I actually genuinely enjoy going to the gym now and find it a huge stress relief. Don’t get me wrong, some days it’s hard to get the motivation, but it has become part of my life now and find it’s extremely good for both my mind and body health.

If you had to choose three key moves to achieve that stronger body, what would they be?

Squats are a big part of my workouts, whether it’s squat jumps or with weights, there are lots of ways to mix it up. Boxing is great for coordination and all over toning. I also love it for stress relief! Press ups are great for upper body and arms and I am currently perfecting my pull ups!

I’ll take note! Now talk food to me…what does your typical day on a plate look like?

For breakfast I try to mix it up as I can get so bored of eating the same thing. Ill make scrambled eggs, smoked salmon and avocado, or granola with vanilla coyo and a chopped banana, or my favourite when I have time, egg and banana pancakes. For lunch I might have a chicken salad or some salmon with quinoa and salad. I’m normally in a rush not not something that inventive but I love to make sure I cook warm food in the evening. A steak with sweet potato chips is my go-to.

Nicely done! What five foods could you not live with out?

I couldn’t live without peanut butter, vanilla Coyo, Booja Booja coconut ice cream, cheese and guacamole.

So you live in the wonderful land of Chelsea… where are your top places to eat?

Hally’s in Parsons Green is my go-to for brunch on the weekend and it has a juice bar opposite that sells the most amazing banana bread! Colbert is a treat for lunch during the week and Eight Over Eight solves my sushi/thai food cravings in the evenings. Kurobuta is also insane.

And finally – what quote you live by?

”Enjoy every day as if it’s your last.”
Oh, yes. We love a cliche.  Thanks for chatting Rosie!
Thank you Sophie!
